Welcome!
My name is Dr. Ashley Beyer Ray, and I am your hometown family chiropractor serving Gregory-Portland and the surrounding areas. I am passionate about helping individuals and families achieve better health through gentle, effective chiropractic care.
In addition to caring for people of all ages, I am proud to be the only licensed animal chiropractor in the immediate area, offering chiropractic care for your animals as well. A good rule of thumb is: if it has a spine, I can adjust it!
Thank you for visiting my website and taking the time to learn more about me and my practice. I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and helping you and your family—two-legged and four-legged—feel your best.
My Story
Here’s a little about me, so you know what to expect when you walk into Ray of Light Chiropractic.
I am a Portland-area native and spent the first 18 years of my life growing up on a cotton farm just outside of town. I attended Gregory-Portland High School, where I played tennis, and graduated in 2010.
After high school, I went on to Texas Tech University (Guns Up!) where I played collegiate horse polo and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2014. While living in the Dallas area, I continued playing polo and teaching therapeutic horseback riding. It was during this time that I felt my heart being pulled in a new direction, one that led me to Parker University to pursue a career in chiropractic care. Very quickly, I knew I had found my calling.
I graduated in 2018 as a Doctor of Chiropractic, also earning my American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) certification, allowing me to practice animal chiropractic. This blended perfectly with my lifelong love for animals, especially horses.
In 2020, life brought me back home to the Coastal Bend. Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of serving the communities of Corpus Christi, Rockport, and the surrounding areas, all while starting a beautiful family with my husband, Cody. I am incredibly grateful to now bring my passion for health and wellness back to Gregory-Portland, serving the community that raised me.
My mission is to help you and your family live healthy, functional, and pain-free lives and that includes your pets too! I am passionate about supporting the body’s natural ability to heal so you can move better, feel better, and enjoy life to the fullest.
When I’m not in the office, you can still find me on the tennis courts playing local leagues, at CrossFit XLR8, at Gracepoint Church on Sunday mornings, or around town with my family. If you see me, please say hello I would love to meet you and welcome you to Ray of Light Chiropractic.
